All humans alive today, no matter their age, religion, gender, race and nationality I played one of two possibilities, or are older or not. Almost no one voluntarily chooses the second option. Given that reality, it is striking, especially in Costa Rica with hope life of 77.7 years, so few are prepared for the different stages of their existence.
The British playwright George Bernard Shaw said "life is not to find himself, but to create itself." The elderly that appears today is a creation of many of the decisions taken during their lifetime.
The young man who decides to abandon his studies is ensuring a life of low income, shortage of all kinds, and when it reaches the elderly, need financial assistance and physical.
Similarly, the university determined to specialize in anthropology, philology, political science or sociology is sure to be less income during their working life than one who chooses engineering, finance, or medicine.
The person who reaches a "comfort zone" regarding his career and his income at 35 to 40 years and decides he's happy where he is ("why work again, I take time to enjoy life while can? ") is more likely to be fired, mobilized and disrespected than one that continues to struggle until they can not cope.
Those who spend three to five hours a day watching television when young, to reach 50 years, six of them spent in front of the small screen, not have the same cognitive ability than those who were devoted to reading, cultural and social activities, and interaction with other human beings.
Unfortunately many young people understand that what they do or not do in the first stage of its life will have profound impacts on his life in the years ahead. How do you tell the time in which they live is limited? Displaying
current seniors, we note that many of them did not bother to take care when young. A figure from a survey of CID / Gallup reveals that 62% of Costa Ricans aged 60 and over can not cut your fingernails on your feet without someone to help them, they have no physical agility. Many did not exercise when young, and now that failure is the result this lack of action.
A third of those in the elderly are currently unable to bathe without help from others either. It is understood that some are in that state for situations beyond their control, but many more are well on their own fault.
The truth is that most fears aging, try not to think about their future and has no plans for the coming years. Do not like dealing with adults because they serve as a reminder that in the future I will be playing the same reach.
One manifestation of this rejection is that older job applicants who are 45 and older are not placement. Nobody tells them that age is not the name it; use terms like "over qualified" when they say they are not going to hire.
